About the Pieta House Amber Flag Initiative:

The Pieta House Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts of primary schools to create a healthy, inclusive environment that aims to support mental well-being and promote support, positivity and a sense of belonging. 

The children have been actively promoting positive mental health in our school. They learned about mental health in a fun and positive way, discovering how to feel better about themselves and support others to feel happy and confident too. During February’s Mindful Month, the children enjoy daily activities with themes like Mindful Monday, Thankful Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday, Thoughtful Thursday, and Feel Good Friday. Our Amber Team do a fantastic job encouraging everyone to read the daily motivational quotes and are regularly updating the positive affirmations around the school. Thanks to these efforts, kindness, friendliness, and thoughtfulness are now part of our daily school life. All our boys and girls feel a strong sense of belonging and self-belief. We look forward to continuing this important work together to promote positive mental health.
